Paint or Ink?

When it comes down to one being the most versatile, its hard to choose between paint and ink. A lot of it depends on the surface you are writing on and how buff proof you want it to be.
Ink:
Ink unlike paint is thin and translucent so its hard to cover up a color if the color you are writing with is not black or a very dark color. Ink tends to stain harder, especially on porous surfaces but sits on the surface on slick glossy plastic and some non-porous surfaces. When it comes to writing on a wet surface it runs and will just wash away, even if it doesnt run it will fade and wash away as the thin ink gets diluted with the moist surface and it will fade rather quickly. Ink is great for mops and flow pens because it doesnt streak and you can get those nice drips.
Paint:
Unlike ink, paint is thick and opaque, so it can cover any color with out it showing through. Pint tends to stick to the surface and doesnt really set in. Paints can usually write on a wet or dusty surface especially when you have markers like the Dalo or Steel Blitz. One thing that paints have and inks don't, are metallics.
I dont really want to say paint is better than ink or ink is better than paint because, they both have their pros and cons. Personally I prefer paint because you have the nice opacity, thick flow and metallics but its really up to you.
When it comes to buffing its really hard to tell which comes on top. With wood, ink is harder to buff because it soaks in while paint sis on the surface, and when it comes to smooth metal or plastic paint tends to sit better on that rather than ink. The ink would just rub away with cleaner.
I feel that inks are getting easier and easier to buff. clean up crews are carrying nasty chemicals that just destroy the adhesive to stickers to the point where they peel off, and ink just melts away. But when it comes to paint, on some surfaces ive oticed that some tags need to be sanded away.
